From Montana to Nashville

January 30, 2026

Most country artists will tell you they’ve been chasing the dream since they could walk. For me, the path looked a little different.

I grew up in Montana in a family where music wasn’t just background noise—it was the language we spoke. My dad was a founding member of the Mission Mountain Wood Band, a group that helped define Montana’s sound for decades. Music was always there, but so was basketball. And for a long time, I thought the court was where I’d make my mark.

From the Court to the Keys

I played college basketball at the University of Montana. The discipline, the grind, and a natural gift to perform in front of a crowd—all of that shaped who I am today. As my opportunities in professional basketball were forming, an unexpected  road was put before me. My dad always said that the way I play piano would be the easiest money I would ever make and that was about to be put to the test.

The next thing I knew, I was in Las Vegas. Within a week, I was playing 6-7 nights a week on every grand piano in every upscale lounge on the strip.

Everything that was instilled in through out my crazy and cool life up to this point was put to use.How to read a room. How to connect with strangers. How to hold attention in a place where everyone’s distracted by something shinier. I honed in the showmanship, timing, and how to make people feel something in the middle of chaos. The grind, the glamour, the hustle, and the chops… it was like a movie. I was Frank Sinatra. But I was nobody. And it was essential.

Finding My Voice in Nashville

I knew I wasn’t a piano player  —I was a storyteller. With all my influences and the stories I wanted to tell, me and my music were no doubt country.

I started writing, recording, experimenting, taking chances, finding who I was and  people who believed in what I was doing. Nashville came calling a few times but it wasn’t until Epifonic Records and their clear understanding of who and what this was that I knew it was time. I signed a record deal with them and a publishing deal with Olympus Hill Publishing.  The hard work was paying off and just getting started, I would say that the dream was coming true but the truth is I have been living the dream the whole time.

Piano-Driven Country Music

Here’s the thing: country music is full of guitars. And I love guitars. But the piano gives me something different. It lets me blend traditional country storytelling with the energy and dynamics I learned in Vegas. It’s not about being different for the sake of it—it’s about being honest to who I am.

When I’m on stage, the piano isn’t just an instrument. In many ways, it provides a connection and speaks to the audience in ways that I can’t.

What’s Next

Right now, I’m getting ready to release new music— with “Drink With Your Name On It” on February 20, 2026, followed by a few other single releases and then a full album in May. Every song is a real story. Every performance is a chance to prove that country music can sound like anything as long as it’s honest.

I’m booking shows across the country, working with incredible people in Nashville, and building something that’s always been bigger than just me. This isn’t about chasing trends or trying to fit a mold. It’s about doing the work, staying true to the music, and bringing all of us together for the ride.

If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t fit the traditional path—whether in music, sports, or life—this story is for you. Legends don’t  follow the script. This ones’ been building one show at a time.
